Recharge and rejuvenate by the end of the Summer with our certified holistic yoga teacher at a charity yoga event & mindful hike at Mount Edgcumbe 🙏🌿
9:30 am on Sunday 1st September 2019 near the fountain at The Orangery Garden Café, Mount Edgcumbe Country Park, PL10 1HZ, Torpoint.
Arrive by car or ferry from Plymouth Stonehouse Ferry Terminal.
After a warm welcome, the session will start with a guided mindfulness meditation and yoga breathing exercises, and will unfold with traditional hatha yoga, crowned with a yoga nidra relaxation. You will benefit from a variety of stretching and strengthening poses and hands-on adjustments, experiencing a strong sense of inner peace and bliss.
Once the yoga session has finished, mats have been tidied up and you are ready to hop into your hiking boots, join us for a moderate circular 8 miles hike along beautiful South West Coast Path, admiring Mount Edgcumbe grounds with Mount Edgcumbe Folly, spotting wild deers and exploring a gorgeous village of Kingsand with a natural harbour, beach and real Cornish pasties, and don't forget to take a photo of an old county border! Here we will stop for lunch and optional swim in the sea.
We will come back to our cars by ascending a challenging hill and cutting through a farmland to the other side of Rame Peninsula, where you can indulge yourself to an afternoon tea at Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park.
9:30 – say hello, collect and roll out yoga mats
9:45-11:00 – holistic yoga class
11:00-11:15 – tidy up the mats
11:15-15:00 – hike and lunch (and optional swim)
